What brings you to therapy
People generally find their way to me for one of 3 reasons:
Needing help with a new or ongoing difficulty such as depression, anxiety, relationship crisis or break up, panic, ADHD, bereavement, parenting challenges, menopause, or a change in circumstances e.g. job loss or illness.
Being haunted, distressed, limited, or controlled by past experiences e.g. bereavement, childhood neglect or abuse, living with addictions, or any type of trauma – either through an event or cumulative negative experiences.
Reasons to come to therapy don’t always fall into a neat category. It can be a feeling of wanting more from life, or feeling disenchanted, misunderstood or unfulfilled. Sometimes people have lost touch with who they really are or aren’t living in accordance with their values.
